During our recent family vacation at Kapitein Anna, we found it to be a unique and inviting accommodation. Housed in an old ferry boat, it offers a fun experience with great views of the bustling river traffic and nearby activities. As an active family, we appreciated the convenient access to the free ferry service, which took just ten minutes to reach Central Amsterdam - a perfect launching point for our explorations. The breakfast provided was delightful, with an impressive array of fresh croissants that we all enjoyed. Though the cabins are quite compact, they are well-kept and carry a cozy charm, making it easy to settle in after a day of adventure. The staff were exceptionally helpful, adding a personal touch to our stay. While there wasn't food service outside of breakfast, we found a lovely little supermarket nearby for any essentials, enhancing the family experience. Being located amidst the vibrant NDSM cultural area allowed us to immerse ourselves in local life. Kapitein Anna might just be the ideal family-friendly base for experiencing the charm of Amsterdam.
